Festival of Transport 2008.

Only a week ago we had a show cancelled due to the venue being waterlogged and now here we are enjoying 27 deg C and unbroken sun; don't you just love the British summer.

We had a pretty good turn out for this show, above we have left to right, Graeme, Alan P, Roly and Alan N and if you look very carefully you can see Olly making an arse of himself doing his 'hello mum' bit!

Below from the back and left to right we have, Olly, Jeff (who's Capri had it's MOT cancelled on the Friday so he couldn't bring it), Mike and Ray.
That's Jan (my wife) with her back to the camera looking quite annoyed; at what I don't dare ask but it looks like Olly's baring the brunt of things with a head down stance!.

This show is another interesting one due mainly to the range of vehicles on show and made up for last year where it rained heavily. The car club stands had a field to them selves and the remainder of the entrants (Military, lorrys, busses, scooters, individual car entrants and trade stands) had the larger field.

I suppose there were around 700 vehicles on show but this year there didn't seem to be the usual steam engines; apart from the static engines that always make a good stand.

And some Scooters for Ray; he likes these.
