Thatcham Classic Car Show.

The tenth Thatcham Classic Car Show - Saturday 10 October 2015 with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support.

As the sole representative of Hampshire Capri Club the pleasure to write a show report is all mine!

Like Shalbourne the previous week, the show had a very civilised start time of 10.00am. October weather more like September therefore reasonably pleasant.

There were actually three other Capris at the show - Ford's own 280 on loan to a one of the Classic and Sports Car Magazine journalists involved with the show (I thought that one had been sold on Ebay recently?), the 280 of a local guy I've spoken to a couple of times and who hopefully will come along to our meetings and Kevin Courtney's lovely Mk3 that is powered by a 5.7 litre Chevy engine.

The show was the biggest yet and was filled with a wide variety of classics of all ages plus commercials and motorcycles. By about 3pm everyone was packing up and going home happy.

And so concludes another year's show season..... Winter off-season here we come....boohoo! :-(
